At first glance the two co-founders of this company may seem to have very little in common, a young man with a horticulture background and an experienced corporate executive. These two individuals may share nothing except for the love of plants. Meeting while at the orchid show in Manhattan, the two quickly realized they were the perfect missing piece in a corporate marriage. The young ambitious man who owned a modest residential interior landscaping company wanted to break into the NYC metropolitan plantscaping industry. The polished business man who had recently moved to Miami was the ideal fit. With a good rapport, local nurseries and the new collaboration of new wholesale tropical growers in Florida they had the best of both worlds. They now could begin a unique landscaping company like no other and offer a service that has yet to be seen.

What goes around comes around…

A large portion of used plant material is brought to our all natural compost pile in Upstate New York. Over time the compost is then organically broken down and turned into rich soil. This fertile soil is than incorporated into your landscapes. At Urban Plantscapes we feel it is our responsibility as a horticultural and landscaping company to give back to the environment.
